| Cool Tropics is a shelf
stable flavored concentrated beverage
base, containing 100% juice that is
served as frozen slush through a variety
of equipment. The most common
application is in a 2-bowl or 3-bowl
granita machine that creates a strong
visual impression and helps merchandise
the product.
Cool Tropics is fat free, cholesterol
free and has no sugar added. The 100%
juice product line features 17 flavor
varieties. Distributors of Cool Tropics
generally carry five flavors at any
given time. They are encouraged to swap
out flavors periodically to keep the
customer base stimulated.
Cool Tropics 100% juice slush is a
5+1 liquid base that requires dry
storage before mixing with water. The
mix is poured into an FSM fast freeze
granita dispenser and becomes slush in a
period of about one hour.
The product is packed (6) ½ gallons
to a case and the yield is 2450 ounces
by volume due to the air (overrun) that
is folded into the product. The shelf
life is six months in storage and 7 days
after mixing with water. |
